Online Therapy

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING PSYCHOTHERAPY, YOU MAY BE IN A TIME OF STRESS OR TRANSITION. HERE IS WHAT TO EXPECT:

We’ll use the first three sessions to determine whether we’ll be a good therapist-client fit, and if we continue, therapy will be on a weekly basis.

I strongly suggest you find a place of sanctuary where you will not be disturbed in your home to maximize the potential benefit of each session.

Together with each client, I design a treatment plan to help achieve personal and family goals, such as better communication, more satisfying relationships, deeper happiness and a more balanced, meaningful life.

For parents of children with special needs

Parents of children with special needs have unique challenges and need specialized support. From getting a diagnosis to understanding treatment options, it helps to have a therapist who is intimately aware of the nuances of your experience.

I am a Mom who gets it. Raising my son with Autism Spectrum Disorder is a journey of joys and challenges - from the biomedical to the behavioral - and a unique path of grief and acceptance. My aim is to help you discover that you are not on a solo hike.

Let’s work together to explore:

  • Feeling as though you are not having the experience you wanted or anticipated in parenthood.

  • Navigating couple and family dynamics, including sibling relationships.

  • Fostering self-compassion, as you do have the hardest and the best job.

  • Accessing your own personal power – you are your child’s best advocate.

  • Accepting your child’s diagnosis and meeting them where they are, versus where you ultimately want them to be.

You are not alone. Together we will discover and utilize tools that help you care for yourself so that you can ultimately be your best self for your child. It is my pleasure to work with any parent of a child with special needs to help you gain acceptance and recognize the joy and potential within your child, and in the experience of being their guide. Through our work together you will maximize your parenting potential.

Online Therapy for Women

If there is one word that describes me, it’s heart-centered. Prepare to feel nurtured.

Women experience some of the same challenges as anyone else, such as anxiety and depression, but may experience them in a different way or due to specific phases, such as coming of age, pregnancy, the postpartum period, or menopause.

To help you tune into and process your feelings, I utilize mindfulness techniques.

I feel especially called to be a therapist to individuals who identify as female, particularly those who:

  • have spiritual practices such as yoga, and have an interest in alternative healing.

  • feel completely and utterly stuck in their lives, relationships, careers, and/or families.

  • Also identify as LGBTQIAS+ or are a lesbian couple.

  • are postpartum and looking for a relatable therapist, rather than a parent figure.

  • are in their early 20s and feel lost, unanchored and uncertain about the future.

Women are so busy taking care of the world that they forget to carve out time to care for themselves. Our sessions are a time to tune into what you’ve been tuning out. I’m hoping during our sessions you’ll have the opportunity to feel your feelings more completely, so you can emerge empowered to navigate your challenges in a new way.

Online Therapy for LGBTQIAS+ Community

What has more potential to enrich our connection to other people than our own personal experiences with gender and sexuality?

Delving into our own felt sense of gender, sexuality and desire is a journey, and there is not always a fixed destination. A safe space in therapy may be right for you if you are:

  • questioning your gender or sexual desires or identities.

  • exploring the world and relationships outside of cisgender identities or heteronormative standards.

  • living in the world as a person or couple who identifies as LGBTQIAS+.

  • experiencing homophobia or transphobia.

I am a therapist with an intimate understanding of the LGBTQIAS+ journey.

From lesbian individuals and couples to gay men to transgender youth and beyond, a safe space in therapy is even more important in a world that doesn’t always mirror who you are or who you love. As with all my clients, mind-body approaches will especially be used to help you release from a life-long experience of heteronormativity and the impact of social phobias. Through our process you can anticipate feeling more fully connected to yourself and others.
